  • detox failure..cuz i can't stop cooking !!

I stuck to the detox for the first few days but its too painful!! Imagine not eating for 7 days. I'll probably finish off the detox during semester break.

Here are the following reasons why I couldn't complete the detox

    P4020037

READY  : Its a marinated kangaroo fillet on a baquette. Might sound bad but its actually quite tasty and kangaroo meat is in every supermarket here

    P4140198

Made dumplings: here's the filling and I used store bought wraps

    P4140201

Here's the finished product. So nice and easy

I had quite a bad week too, first I lost my voice for the ENTIRE week, I couldn't say a word, then I cut my thumb whilst chopping chives for the dumplings and THEN.. i won an IMAC !! so in the end, everythings still good

    P4170212

    P4180214

    Made some wholemeal flatbread..

    P4180219

Here's some shallots, onion, soy, chicken powder and salt......

    P4180220

and here's the end result after adding some cooked noodles and beef soup. Quick and healthy

    P4190221

Here's a really quick tasmanian salmon and spinach with milk over rice. It tastes similar to salmon and cream but its sooo much healthier

    P4210228

    Made a quick potato bake

    P4230230

And this banana cake is the easiest and tastiest cake I can make. The batter is also extremely tasty :) !!

You only need to wash up 2 bowls and a fork making this

    First you mix:

    1 and 3/4 cups of self-raising flour

1/4 cup of wholemeal plain flour

    1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup of sugar ( I don't like really sweet cakes but feel free to add more sugar if you feel it's not sweet enough )

    then in the second bowl:

    mash 2 ripe bananas

    mix in 2 eggs

    1/2 cup of milk

    slosh ( approx. 40 - 80 grams of olive oil )

add the wet ingredients into the dry ones and mix. You should have a mix of the above consistancy so add more milk if you need to then in a preheated 180 degree oven, bake it for 50 minutes.

It really is PERFECT ! trust me. You could also sprinkle some oats over the top before you bake it because it looks better

  • more food for thought

It really annoys me when people get on their high horse and attempt to judge you when they're so ignorant.

I was born in China and I left when I was really young.

At uni last week, we were talking about the US and then someone said,

"you know what China is, it's a communist country which has gone evil with power. China is an evil country which needs to be stopped."

Then this person went on about how great America was and how they help other countries become independant and how its all an unselfish act. I think its totall bull because there are those ignorant people who grew up in Western countries and are heavily influenced by the media that just assume anything they  hear and as you try to tell them otherwise, we're branded as being ' brain washed and didn't know what we were talking about because we're asian'.

You would think that people are over this race issue by now, especially young people!

Anyway, here's some of what I ate last week...

    P3300039

spaghetti with mushroom ragu, its sooo so easy and so nice. I'm going to try adding some meat into it next time.

    P3310041

whipped the batter up for this in less than a minute

    P3310044 P3310045

French onion soup in less than 1/2 and hour

    P4020046

The timer on my oven was broken so these are 'slightly' over cooked, I'll have to try again next time and I promise they'll look so much better

Wow! Blogs on what you eat everyday! That must be tiring.. Nice to be able to cook for yourself all the time, though. Wish I had time to do that everyday!
